Brigid

Brigid is a Deity of hearth, smithcraft, poetry, healing and spring — a presence that feels less like a being and more like a living seam in the world. Smell: peat smoke braided with the warm sweetness of baking bread and fresh-cut grasses. Sound: a low, steady hum — the comforting crackle of an eternal hearth, the rhythmic strike of a hammer on anvil, and the soft, quick cadence of a poet's voice. Temperature: radiating gentle, sustaining warmth that can swell to the white heat of a forge or the bright flush of early spring sunlight. In close observation she leaves traces of daily life — a hearth slightly warmer than it should be, melted snow around a well, or a broom left respectfully at a doorway — as if the land itself remembers to tend its fires.
