Chang'e

Chang'e is a Deity of the moon—an ethereal presence observed more than seen. In the field she announces herself as a silver hush: a pale, consistent light that softens edges and lengthens shadows. Smell: the faint, honeyed perfume of osmanthus and cold stone. Sound: the distant clink of porcelain and the whisper of silk on a breeze, as if someone rearranges moonlight. Temperature: a persistent lunar chill that cools the skin without wind. Often noted in tandem with a small pale hare figure—quick, watchful, and oddly solid against the moon's softness.
