El Silbón is a hostile spirit often described as a gaunt, wandering Revenant that haunts the open plains and lonely roads at night. Smell: a faint, dusty tang of old leather and river mud with a metallic whisper of iron. Sound: a long, hollow whistle—high and thin—that seems to trick the ear (when it sounds close, it is said to be far; when it sounds distant, it is near). Temperature: a sudden, dry chill that slips along the skin like a hand; sightings are accompanied by drops in temperature and the impression of space being slightly wrong.
