Hantu Raya

Hantu Raya — Hostile spirit and familiar. In the field it presents as an incorporeal double: often a shadowed silhouette that can mimic a human form but never quite occupies the same space. Smell: a musty, damp-earth tang undercut with stale incense and a faint metallic tang like old iron. Sound: the soft brushing of cloth where no one stands, twin footsteps that fall slightly out of time, and a low, reedy whisper at the edge of hearing. Temperature: a localised, bone-deep chill — enter a room and feel the air press colder around a single corner or a second shadow. Observed behavior includes long, patient watching from thresholds and the uncanny impression of being followed by a second presence.
