Heimdall

Heimdall is a Deity — the vigilant watchman of the Aesir, posted at the world's edge where sea and sky meet. Field notes mark him less by form than by presence: the air around his station carries a clean, briny tang like cliff-spray after lightning (Smell); sound sharpens into impossible clarity, every distant footstep and whispered tide folded into a single, metallic tone (Sound); temperature sits on the tongue as a bright, keen cold that pricks the cheeks but rarely bites, as if the world itself is on alert (Temperature). Observed at dawn and dusk: horizons sharpen, shadows align, and a stillness falls that is not empty but waiting.
