Inkanyamba Lore & Origins

Inkanyamba is a Deity (storm-serpent) bound to deep pools and the thunder of waterfalls. Presence carries the sharp, metallic scent of ozone and wet iron, with a damp peat undercurrent; sound is a low, rolling cavitation—water forced through a narrow throat—soon joined by distant thunder and the rattling hiss of rain; temperature drops and wind sharpens, a charged cold that makes hair stand on end and skin prickle. Field-naturalist notes: birds fall silent, surface weeds bend into a spiralling column, and the falls take on a black, coiling throat before lightning answers.
