The Lernaean Hydra is an impossibly massive, relentlessly regenerating serpentine beast from Greek mythology that transforms the swamp into a toxic nightmare. Radiating a suffocating, unnatural heat that reeks of caustic venom and rotting marshland, it silently ambushes prey from the dark, stagnant water. Utilizing an unimaginably lethal, acidic breath and the terrifying ability to instantly sprout two new heads for every one severed, it effortlessly overwhelms brute force with an unending cascade of snapping, venomous fangs. - Regenerative MultiplicationWhen a head is severed it rapidly sprouts two new heads from the wound unless the neck stump is immediately seared.
- Venomous Blood & BreathIts blood and exhalations are lethally poisonous, contaminating weapons, waters, and any who contact them with swift, necrotic venom.
- Immortal Core HeadOne central head is often described as immortal or resistant to ordinary killing and must be isolated and entombed to truly end the beast.

- Cauterization (Firebrand)Seared neck stumps prevent regrowth—Heracles defeated the Hydra by having Iolaus cauterize each wound with fire as heads were cut.
- Entombment of the Immortal HeadThe immortal head can only be neutralized by burial beneath rock or entombment after severing, removing its capacity to act.
