Melusine

Melusine is a Fae — a river-born woman often described with a serpentine or fish-like lower body. She carries the clean chill of moving water: the smell of damp river-moss, crushed rosemary, and wet stone; the sound of her presence is a chiming, bell-like laugh undercut by the soft susurration of water over rock and the distant creak of a wheel. Her touch and the air around her are cool and slightly electric, leaving surfaces beaded with fine river-sheen. Field notes: she favors ruins, mill-ponds, and hidden castle streams where domestic life meets wild water.
