Battle Chronicle & Lore Analysis

The Chimera, a grotesque hybrid of lion, goat, and serpent, soared over the Strait of Messina. Tri-Headed Conflagration. It was looking for a ship to incinerate, spotting a merchant vessel struggling in the current.

Below the surface, Charybdis looked up. The ship was hers. And so was the fly buzzing above it.

The sea began to boil.

The Great Inhale

Charybdis opened her maw, a gaping abyss in the ocean floor. Threefold Gulp.

She didn't just swallow the water; she inhaled the atmosphere. The vortex spun faster, creating a tornado of suction.

The Chimera felt the air dropping out from under its wings. The goat head bleated in panic. The lion roared defiance and breathed a stream of fire at the whirlpool.

The fire met the water and unleashed a cloud of steam, but the suction was undeniable. The sheer volume of displacing air dragged the monster out of the sky.

The Chimera crashed into the spinning wall of water. It tried to fly, but the water was heavy, pulling it down. Vomitive Surge. Charybdis reversed the flow for a split second to batter the creature with a geyser of debris, breaking its wings. Then, the swallow resumed. The Chimera, thrashing and sputtering, was pulled into the black depths, its fire extinguished forever in the belly of the tide.
