The Domovoi, a hairy little house spirit, peeked out from behind the stove. It saw a tall stranger in the hall. It decided to play a trick. Hearth's Blessing. It wanted to teach the guest some manners.
Lugh Lamfada, the Celtic God of Skill, walked in. He shone with an inner light that made the dust motes dance. Radiant Sovereignty.
"Nice house," Lugh commented.
The Domovoi scurried out and snatched Lugh's spear while he wasn't looking. Lost-Thing Mischief. It hid the weapon under the floorboards.
Lugh didn't get angry. He laughed. "A test?"
He raised his hand. Samildánach.
He didn't just summon the spear; he crafted a new one from the light in the room, then instantly repaired the creaky floorboard and fixed the drafty chimney with a snap of his fingers.
The Domovoi stared, mouth open. This was no guest; this was a Master. The spirit bowed low, retrieving the original spear and offering a bowl of its own porridge in apology.
