The Australian outback was dry. Tiddalik the frog sat in the center of a dust bowl. He was enormous, spherical, and smug. He had drunk all the water in the world.
The Nasnas hopped over a dune. One-Legged Launch. It was looking for blood to quench its thirst. Tender-Organ Craving.
It saw the giant frog. It saw the sloshing belly.
"Give," the Nasnas rasped, pointing a knife.
The Joke
Tiddalik looked at the challenger. It had one leg. It hopped like a pogo stick. It looked... ridiculous.
The corners of Tiddalik's mouth twitched.
The Nasnas waved its knife aggressively. It hopped in a circle, trying to be intimidating. It fell over.
The Flood
Tiddalik snorted. Then he chuckled. Then the dam broke.
Mirthful Flood.
The frog dissolved into laughter, and with the laughter came the water. Thousands of gallons of river water, lake water, and billabong water erupted from his mouth.
It hit the Nasnas like a wall of bricks. The demon was swept off its single foot. It wasn't a fight; it was a laundry cycle. The Nasnas was tumbled, spun, and washed miles downstream, depositing it in a newly formed mud pool, clean but very annoyed.
