The Rakshasa crept through the heavy forest, wearing the face of a lost child. Maya Masquerade. It sought to trick the celestial guardians, looking upward with wide, innocent eyes. "Help me," it called with Imitative Lure.
The sky darkened immediately. The air pressure dropped.
Ranginui, the Sky Father, watched from the high altitudes. His vision was unimpeded by the canopy; he saw the demon's true, monstrous shadow, which the creature could not hide from the light above.
The Storm's Judgment
Ranginui did not send a champion or lower himself to negotiate. He simply shifted the winds.
A massive downdraft roared from the heavens. Sky Breath. The sheer localized force of the gale stripped away the Rakshasa's magical disguises, flattening the trees around it and pinning the demon to the forest floor.
The Rakshasa hissed, dropping its façade and lashing out with Night's Feast at the empty air, but its claws swung pointlessly against the wind.
"Be still, abomination," the thunder whispered.
Ranginui unleashed Celestial Thunder. A continuous column of lightning hammered down from the vault of the sky, blindingly bright and devastatingly hot. The Rakshasa screamed as it was engulfed in the divine plasma, its dark magic completely overwhelmed.
When the storm cleared seconds later, there was nothing left but a charred circle of earth. The Sky Father returned the winds to a gentle breeze.
