Anubis stood at the gate of the underworld, holding his scales. "Next," he intoned.
Wulbari, the massive Sky God, stepped forward, his form radiating an ethereal blue light that banished the tomb's shadows.
"I am not a soul to be weighed, Jackal," Wulbari proclaimed, his voice echoing like rolling thunder high above.
Anubis narrowed his eyes, unimpressed by celestial posturing. "All who enter my realm must be weighed." He reached for the Sky God with a hand trailing dark decay.
The Weighing of the Sky
Anubis attempted to force Wulbari onto the scale pan. Weighing of Hearts.
He placed the Feather of Truth on the other side. The scale should have balanced or tipped. But Wulbari was not flesh or soul; he was the vast, unfathomable expanse above the world.
The scale rattled and cracked under the conceptual paradox. How do you weigh the sky against a feather?
"What is this?" Anubis demanded, trying to steady the wildly swinging beam. "Submit to the judgment!"
"I am beyond your metrics," Wulbari replied calmly.
The Trap
While Anubis was distracted trying to fix his divine instrument, Wulbari made his move. The Sky God raised his arms. Sky-Seal.
The dreary ceiling of the tomb dissolved, replaced by a vault of crushing starlight. A dome of immense atmospheric pressure slammed down on the Jackal God, pushing him toward the floor.
Anubis fell to his knees, pinned by the literal weight of the heavens pressing into the underworld. His death magic sputtered out against the radiant purity of the upper atmosphere.
"You cannot judge the sky," Wulbari boomed from on high. "It judges you."
Anubis bowed his head, yielding his scales, as Wulbari's absolute celestial authority proved too overwhelming for the Lord of Tombs.
