Keelut is a Spirit/Cryptid noted in Arctic oral tradition — a lanky, doglike apparition that skirts the edges of pack-ice and tundra. Smell: a cold metallic tang mixed with brine and old kelp, as if the air itself has been scorched by ship iron. Sound: a low, reed-thin howl that slides across snow and an occasional rasping scrape, like claws on thin ice.
