Samjogo is a Cryptid beast of the high ridgelines: a broad-shouldered, thick-furred herbivore with a low, luminous mane and hooves that sound like falling stones. Smell: a metallic tang of iron and cold rain over crushed cedar and lichen. Sound: deep, resonant grunts and a rubbing that resembles wind through slate—close encounters begin with the hush of broken twig and a long, low thrumming from its chest. Temperature: despite the thin, sharp air of its alpine haunts, its flank gives off a dry warmth, like a living hearth beneath a snow-bleached ridge.
