Supay is a Deity of the Andean underworld, encountered at the threshold of caves, mines, and shadowed passes. In field notes he appears less as a body than as a presence: the air tastes of damp earth and a faint sulfurous tang, like long-closed caverns or old metal. Sound is a low, distant hum or the murmur of bargaining voices, sometimes punctuated by a hollow drumbeat that seems to come from the rock itself. Temperature drops noticeably where he lingers, a pervasive, chill stillness that gathers in crevices and makes lamps flicker. Observers describe shadows that feel watched rather than merely seen, and an uncanny patience in the way the darkness waits.

- taboo: Do not mock, provoke, or openly challenge him. Never steal from or desecrate places of his domain, and never ignore a customary offering left at cave mouths or mine entrances.
- reverence: Respect is paid through ritual: leave an offering before entering his spaces, speak requests politely and briefly, and observe community rites that acknowledge his role. Keep fires small and steady; arrogance or haste invites misfortune.

- Sunlit ExposureAs a lord of ukhu (the interior/underworld), prolonged exposure to direct daylight weakens his presence and forces him back to subterranean domains.
