Water Bull is a Cryptid: a hulking, semi-aquatic bovine that haunts loch-edges, reedbeds and flooded pastures. Its coat glistens with lake-sheen and peat; the air around it carries a clean, briny tang mixed with crushed marsh grass (Smell). From the rushes come a low, resonant bellow and the wet slap of heavy hooves—a bass tone that carries at dusk and through mist (Sound). Despite its association with cold water, the animal itself emanates a faint warmth and humid breath, the temperature around it noticeably milder and clinging with spray (Temperature). Field notes: movements are deliberate and powerful, muscles rolling beneath the wet hide; it watches with a steady, wary intelligence rather than reckless malice.

- behavior: Solitary and crepuscular: grazes marsh plants and shallow-water vegetation, spends daylight submerged or bedded in reed fringes. Curious but cautious; will investigate slow-moving livestock at the waterline and is most territorial during the rut. Rarely aggressive to humans unless cornered, injured, or protecting young.
